Timway Hong Kong ("this site") respects and protects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

This site may collect:

Browsing records, IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (inferred from IP)
Behaviour: page views, clicks, scrolling and time on page (via analytics, see section 4)
Website details and contact information you voluntarily submit through "Add link", "Suggest a site" or merchant claim forms
Ratings, review text and photos you submit

2. How we use data

We use collected data to maintain and improve the directory, process submissions and claims, display aggregate ratings, detect abuse (such as fake reviews or spam submissions) and analyse traffic to improve the user experience.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language choice and analyse traffic. Our analytics tool sets the following first-party cookies:

_clck — stores the visitor identifier and preferences
_clsk — links page views within the same session

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings; some features (such as sign-in and rating history) may then not work properly.

4. Analytics

Microsoft Clarity — We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, including anonymised session replays (mouse movement, clicks and scrolling), heatmaps and aggregate traffic statistics.

• Replays do not include what you type into forms (Clarity masks input fields by default)
• Data is processed by Microsoft; replays and heatmaps are retained for up to 30 days
• Used only to improve usability and content layout — never for identification or advertising

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics (aggregate traffic statistics, no cookie-based tracking of individuals) and search performance data from Bing Webmaster Tools / Google Search Console (impressions, clicks and query terms, provided by the search engines).

To opt out of behavioural analytics, block clarity.ms with a browser extension or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser. This does not affect browsing the directory.

5. Data protection

We apply reasonable security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties except where required by law.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data you submitted (such as reviews, photos or business contact details). Email ask@timway.com with the relevant URLs; we will respond within a reasonable period.

7. Third-party links

The directory contains links to third-party sites. This policy does not apply to those sites; please review their own privacy policies.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page; please review it periodically.
