Content SEO: writing the right page beats writing more pages
The same keyword can need a different page depending on intent. This page shows how to build clusters that get cited.
Four search intents
| Intent | Example | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Informational | what is SEO | Explainer, answer first |
| Comparative | A vs B | Comparison table and use cases |
| Transactional | SEO pricing | Packages, price range, process |
| Navigational | Timway SEO | Brand page, contact |
Topic clusters
Do not write one article per keyword. Build a pillar page for the broad topic and cluster pages for each branch, all interlinked. Search engines see complete coverage and users move from overview to detail.
Answer-first writing
- Answer the question in the first paragraph
- One idea per H2
- Tables for comparisons, numbered steps for processes
- Concrete numbers, dates and sources are what AI cites
E-E-A-T
Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust. In practice: named authors with credentials, verifiable sources, real case studies, visible update dates and contact details.
Refresh cadence
Pages that lose rankings are usually outdated. Review core pages every six months, update immediately when prices or policies change, and show the last updated date.
FAQ
As long as the intent requires. Do not pad for word count.
As a drafting aid, yes, but add your own experience, cases and data.
Merge or update instead, and 301 the old URL.
